Mürren, Switzerland

Mürren is a ski resort that you will find in the Swiss canton of Bern, and on this page you will find most of what you need to know for a skiing holiday here. The season in Mürren normally starts in start December to end April.

Mürren has pistes totaling 54 kilometer, of which 19 kilometer are blue easy pistes, 23 kilometer red and slightly more challenging slopes, and 12 kilometer black and more difficult pistes. Here you'll find 16 lifts, with a total capacity of 14252 passengers/hour. Many lifts and slopes belong to the whole ski area Schilthorn - Mürren/Lauterbrunnen which Mürren is part of, but you have access to everything. The vertical drop is at most 2174 meter and the highest served area by the ski lift system is at 2970 meter. For snowboarders or the more adventurous skiers, there is also access to a fun park, as well as a halfpipe facility.

If you have family members or others in your party who are not interested in down hill skiing, there are cross-country skiing tracks available at a total length of 12 kilometers.

If you want to fly to Mürren

If you fly to Belp, Bern you will get really close to Mürren, as the distance between the airport and the ski resort is only 50 kilometers. Because of the short distance, the transfer time is shorter and the cost is normally lower than when there is a big distance. Other alternative airports that are possible to fly to are Lugano Airport (100 kilometers distance), as well as Zürich International Airport, Zurich (112 kilometers from the ski resort).
