Meribel is a French ski resort that offers fantastic skiing. There are 57 pistes to choose from served by 45 ski lifts. Aix-les-Bains is the closest airport, 60 kilometers from Meribel. The ski resort is part of the ski area Les Trois Vallées, together with six other ski resorts. Meribel has been a popular ski resort for more than seventy years, and you can easily tell that the area has had the time to carefully expand, develop and improve.
The village of Meribel is built in a traditional French chalet like style, which turns it into a quite exotic place for most visitors. It is located at the bottom of three valleys, centrally located in-between of several ski areas. You will basically have skiing available right outside of your door. Most places close at 2 AM so you will get a few hours of sleep before your next day on the slopes.
