Champery, Switzerland

The ski resort Champery is located in the Swiss Alps, in the canton of Valais (or Wallis), and here you will find most of what you need to know about Champery. The season in Champery normally starts in mid December to end April.

Champery has pistes totaling 580 kilometer, of which 310 kilometer are blue easy pistes, 210 kilometer red and slightly more challenging slopes, and 60 kilometer black and more difficult pistes. Here you'll find 165 lifts, with a total capacity of 250776 passengers/hour. Many lifts and slopes belong to the whole ski area Les Portes du Soleil - Morzine/Avoriaz/Les Gets/Châtel/Morgins/Champéry which Champery is part of, but you have access to everything. The vertical drop is at most 1269 meter and the highest served area by the ski lift system is at 2254 meter. Here you can also find some really long pistes, the longest one is 7 kilometers.

In Champery you can also try night skiing as some slopes are illuminated after dark. For snowboarders or the more adventurous skiers, there is also access to a fun park, as well as a halfpipe facility.

If you have family members or others in your party who are not interested in down hill skiing, there are cross-country skiing tracks available at a total length of 600 kilometers. If you like hiking and want to do it in a beautiful winter environment, you also have access to special trails that are prepared for winter hiking.
