The ski resort Whitewater in Canada is located in the state British Columbia, and there is a lot of to be discovered here if you want to do some skiing in North America. The best time of year to ski in Whitewater is during the start December to start April.
It is currently open for skiing in Whitewater and the current snow depth on the slopes is 150 centimeters. Today, all lifts are running, and all slopes are also open for skiing.
In Whitewater you will find 5 lifts with a lift capacity of 6100 passengers/hour. There are 50 kilometer of groomed pistes in total, divided into 10 kilometer blue pistes, 20 kilometer red pistes and for the more experienced skiers, 20 kilometer black pistes. The highest point in the ski system is at 2063 meter, which gives a vertical drop of 683 meter. There are also other skiing and snowboarding activities here besides the slopes, for the more daring (and perhaps more experienced) skiers there is both a fun park and a halfpipe facility.
If downhill skiing isn't your thing, or other in travel company don't like it, there are 6 kilometers of cross-country skiing tracks available for those who needs a good exercise. If you want to take it a little more leisurely one day and get a nice winter experience, you can go out and hike. In Whitewater there are prepared trails for winter hiking.
