Snowbird is the sister resort of Alta, the off piste paradise. In Alta you can't use your snowboard but in Snowbird there is something for everybody. It is more like European resorts, like Chamonix or Val d'Isere.

The skiing is great. You ski down 1000 meters in no time at all and then it is time to go up again. Nice cabin lift, no crowds and lots of soft and fluffy powder snow. It is a great place but don't forget to try out Alta while in the region! Even snowboarders should strap on a pair of skis for a day or two and head to Alta.

In Snowbird there are 89 pistes on various levels which you reach via 13 lifts. The capacity is very good and there are hardly any queues even during the peak season. For snowboarders there are two great choices, a snow park and a superpipe. Choose the snow park if you enjoy middle high jumps, tricks and rails. The superpipe is cool.
