Oppdal is the major skiing area in Norway, built on four mountains.
790 meters of vertical drop and plenty of off-piste opportunities. Visit Vangslia, Ådalen, Stölen and Sletvold and discover the challenging rides at the back of Hovden.
There are 29 ski slopes of which 10 are green, 14 are blue, 10 are red and 5 are black. Most of the skiing is above the tree line. The highest peak is at 1,350 meters and the village is located at 550 meters above sea level.

There are some snowparks available. Do bring or rent your cross-country skis and try the excellent tracks. There are about 90 kilometers of ski tracks. Cross-country skiing is big in Norway and you will not be disappointed.

Travelling to Oppdal

The easiest is to fly to Trondheim and then travel by train to Oppdal, about 120 kilometers. Ryanair and SAS are examples of airlines that operate to the airport, depending on your location.
