Mammoth Mountain, California, USA

It might be hard to believe, but in California there is actually some really good skiing. Mammoth Mountain, located on the eastern slopes of the Sierra Nevada, is actually a big favorite among those who are into parks. Skiers and snowboarders from all over the world come here to ski the big parks.

California is well known for its many days of sunshine and it is also reflected here. The average is 300 days a year! Another wonderful average is the yearly snow fall of 11 to 12 meters.

Mammoth Mountains seems to have some rich investors … the standard is very high and the fun parks are kept in an immaculate condition. Today there are about 50 jumps, 3 halfpipes and about 45 rails!

When you visit Mammoth, you can also make a day trip to nearby June Mountain , which is also very nice and a bit more relaxed.

Travelling to Mammoth

Either fly into Los Angeles, LAX, Reno or Las Vegas. Count on a three hour drive from Reno or a five hour drive from Los Angeles or Las Vegas.
