Kronplatz is famous for having very good snow coverage. In case there hasn’t been much snowfall, the area can be covered by fake snow due to 100 percent coverage of snow cannons. In case you are a snowboarder or simply like to play in the fun park on your skis, you will love the fun park here as it is one of the largest in the area. It is situated in a sunny area next to the Belvedere lift. There are also some excellent ski areas for children. This ski destination really stands up to the high requirements of a family.

If you are an advanced skier there are many challenges in Kronplatz as there are several excellent black slopes. These slopes really aren’t for beginners and they do require some skiing experience.

Travelling to Kronplatz

The fastest way to travel to Kronplatz is generally by airplane. The closest airport is in Bolzano, but it really isn’t the easiest one to get to. There are however bigger aiports to select from. Innsbruck would be the most convenient one, 105 kilometers away, or Treviso 195 kilometers away. Few international flights run to Treviso though. From the airport you can continue by shuttle bus or rent a car.

It is also possible to get to Kronplatz via the bus station in Bruneck. In case train suits you better, get off at Fortezza and change to a local railway line that goes to the Pustertal area.
