Klosters, Switzerland

Klosters is a quite small village with traditional Swiss buildings and chalets, but there are also a number of modern hotels and restaurants. This ski resort is located in the southeastern part of Switzerland. This ski resort offers more than 300 kilometers of ski slopes, all reached via Klosters.

A lot of tourists come here every year for the wonderful atmosphere and the excellent skiing, both domestic and international tourists. Despite its popularity, this village has remained some of its old charm and is a place where you feel at home and welcome at once.

Ski areas in Klosters

The ski area that belongs to Klosters, Madrisa, is especially well-targeted at beginners and intermediate skiers. This areas faces the south and is sunny and lovely all day long if you are in for a bit of luck. From Klosters you also have access to Davos and in total you can reach five different ski areas. There are also very good cross-country skiing tracks in Klosters in case you feel like some aerobic training.

A lot of fun activities in Klosters

Apart from skiing there are many fun activities to choose from. There are horse and sleigh rides, ice-skating facilities, a curling course, tennis lanes and so much more. Don’t miss the Swiss toboggan rides, which is a fun outdoor activity for the entire family.

In case you would like to experience the beautiful landscape from above, you can try out paragliding, which is an unforgettable experience and very exciting.

After a day of outdoor fun, go indoors and have some hot, spicy wine, hot chocolate or just a beer and relax in one of the many cosy restaurants. There are many restaurants to choose from. Davos is also very nearby and you can go here for dinner as well, in case you would like to try something new.

Book your ski holiday to Klosters

Unless you live in Switzerland, the easiest and fastest way is by air. Fly to Zurich and rent a car and continue all the way to Klosters ski resort. There is also a train that serves the route. Another option is to fly to Innsbruck in Austria and to drive to Klosters. It should not take you more than two and a half hours.

In case you drive, go to Zurich and turn towards Chur. Get off the motorway at exit Landquart towards Davos. Remember to bring snow chains as sudden snowfalls can change the road conditions in no time.
