Bormio is a ski resort located in the northern parts of Italy. This area has hosted the world championships twice. The closest airport can be found in Bergamo and is called Orio al Serio, about 103 kilometers from Bormio. Other ski resorts close to Bormio are Santa Caterina Valfurva, Sulden and Livigno.
