Bjursås is in the southern parts of Dalarna between Falun and Rättvik. It takes about three hours to get here from Stockholm. You can come here just for a day, a weekend or for a holiday lasting several days since there are plenty of fun slopes of varying difficulty.
The ski lifts are well dimensioned for the number of visitors and queues are normally not particulary long even during the peak season.

Bjursås was one of the first ski resorts in Sweden that targeted boarders. They have an
excellent snow park, “Soul park”, which is nowadays an official Dream park. For those of
you who like jumping and trixing there is plenty of fun stuff!

A holiday in Bjursås does not have to be expensive. The youth hostels and hotels have very reasonable package deals which include both rooms and cards for the ski lifts. The
weekend can get luxurious with skiing both Saturday and Sunday as well as spending the
night with a nice breakfast at a good hotel with a pool at prices starting at 700 SEK per person (2008).

Bjursås also has a holiday village with cottages close to the resort as well as a camp site..

From several places in central Sweden there are buses over weekends and holidays. From
about 200 SEK you get both the trip and a card for the ski lifts. It is a very practical
alternative because you reach the piste just before the ski lifts open up and go home when
the lifts close. You will get your card for the ski lifts on the bus so there is no queueing
to buy a lift card. A whole day of skiing! Besides you can lean back on the bus and watch a movie instead of driving on slippery winter roads.

Visit Bjursås and get snow up to your ears! You will come back again and again!
